Kids & JuniorsMuay Thai
Starting them young!
The perfect after-school activity, with two dedicated classes for school-aged children.
What is Kids Muay Thai?
Muay Thai is a combat sport with its origins in Thailand, sometimes known as “the art of eight limbs” for the way that it coordinates elbows, knees, shins, and hands. Our Kids Muay Thai classes give young people an opportunity to discover this dynamic sport in a safe, controlled, supportive environment, with experienced coaches.
They’ll learn self-defence techniques, build fitness, make new friends and learn respect and discipline along the way.

What are the benefits of Muay Thai and martial arts for my kids?
Improved coordination and strength
From basic motor skills to agility, Muay Thai is an excellent way for kids to build their physical and mental fitness.
Confidence
By working hard at a skill and receiving support and feedback from peers and instructors, your child will feel confident in their own skills and capability long after they’ve left the gym.
Respect and discipline
These principles are an inherent and important part of Muay Thai practice. Whether it’s learning respect for teachers or working hard on the path to mastering a new technique, your child will develop a strong, positive attitude that will help them thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Growing a community
Your child has a great opportunity to make new friends outside of their school classes and year level, engaging in the welcoming atmosphere of our gym and its community.
What to Expect in Your Child's First Class
Our kids’ Muay Thai classes have a relaxed, welcoming environment, offering your child a comfortable place to build their coordination, confidence, strength, and determination.
We have 30-minute training sessions for kids aged 6 to 12, and 45-minute training sessions for kids aged 13 and over. Regardless of length, our Muay Thai classes all follow a uniform structure:
- Warm-up and stretching
- Learning techniques
- Pad work or bag rounds to practise techniques
- Light partner drills or conditioning exercises
- Cool down and stretch
Our passionate trainers ensure that every kid – no matter their age or where they’re starting from – feels supported and learns both life and fitness skills.
